Evening Primrose Oil is extracted from seeds of the plant Oenothera Biennis. Whilst there is a large selection of Evening Primrose Oil supplements on the market, this product boasts a high level (9%) of the essential fatty acid Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA).

Particularly known as a supplement chosen by women, Evening Primrose Oil can be beneficial in a number of other areas. GLA is known to be involved in the production of a number of short-lived hormone like factors called prostaglandins. These messengers play a major role in many functions such as mediating inflammation, hormonal balance and blood-flow to internal organs.

Many skincare creams and products also now contain either Gamma Linolenic Acid or Evening Primrose Oil.
