Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between vegetarian Glucosamine and non-vegetarian Glucosamine?

Non-vegetarian Glucosamine comes from animals, usually shellfish, whereas vegetarian Glucosamine comes from a non-animal source and is therefore suitable for vegetarians and vegans as used in vertese™ vegetarian Glucosamine and Flaxseed capsules.

2. What does Glucosamine do differently to CLO supplement?

Cod liver oil provides Omega 3 fatty acids that are known to help maintain joint suppleness and flexibility. Comparatively Glucosamine may be used by the body to help make synovial fluid, the protective substance found naturally in joints. However, Glucosamine may also be used to help build joint cartilage.

3. What is Gelatin?

A gelling agent made from animal ligament, skin, tendons, bones etc, usually cattle or pigs. Most soft capsules contain gelatin - BUT NOT vertese™ which is gelatin free, making it a choice for all the family.

4. Are all the products in the vertese™ range suitable for vegetarians?

All the products within the vertese™ range are suitable for vegetarians and all products in the range are suitable for vegans except vertese Cardiovite capsules.

5. Are the capsules easy to swallow?

The biggest capsules in the range are the Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg and Cod Liver Oil 1000mg capsules, but due to the softness of the capsules and the fact that they are made from vegetable starch, they are easy to swallow. All capsules should be taken with liquid.

The age limits on each of the products are as follows:-

vertese™ Omega 3+6+9 capsules from 6 years and upwards
